Project Overview
Prior to the launch of the HogFather Jr. Glidebait at ICAST 2025, I was tasked with capturing the story behind the bait’s craftsmanship and on-the-water performance. This wasn’t just about showcasing a new lure—it was about honoring its creator, Tater Hog, and the hand-built process that makes his designs legendary in the bass fishing world.
Working closely with Tater himself and the Strike King brand team, the shoot was split between two distinct locations:
🔹 Tater’s garage workshop, where the bait was born
🔹 A local lake, where the HogFather Jr. proved its worth in action
The Goal: Strike King wanted to introduce the HogFather Jr. in a way that felt deeply personal, while also tying it into the larger brand ecosystem of proven, fish-catching tools.
